Dear Colleague Letter highlighting ACF’s anti-hunger and nutrition work to uplift the one-year anniversary of the White House Hunger, Nutrition, and Health Conference

ACF Assistant Secretary Contreras shares updates and highlights across the agency during the month of May.

August was a busy month as we continue our work to promote the well-being of children and families across the nation.

The American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021 presents human services leaders across the nation with a historic opportunity to advance pandemic recovery and transform communities. This letter provides ACF grant recipients with reminders of upcoming statutory deadlines for ACF’s ARP programs, links to existing ARP guidance, and points of contact for technical assistance questions.

The accompanying attachment features examples of how some ACF grant recipients have used ARP funds to invest in creative strategies, programs, services, and interventions that may be replicable in other communities. These examples may serve as an inspiration to ACF grant recipients who are thinking about bold and innovative uses of ARP dollars to support communities.
