The Public Assistance Reporting Information System (PARIS) is an information exchange system designed by the Administration for Children and Families to provide State Public Assistance Agencies (SPAAs) with appropriate data as a result of a Federal computer matching initiative....

This is a reminder that the next PARIS match is scheduled for Friday,  May 14, 2021.

When transmitting your PARIS quarterly data to the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), the following inbound file format is requested: PARIS.<state code>.PYYYYMM<4 byte year><2 byte month>, e.g. PARIS.AL.P202105 (for the May 2021 submission for Alabama), also indicate the file size and method used to transmit the file to the Flint server, such as Connect Direct, sftp, etc. Make sure there are no carriage controls at the end of each line in the submitted file. If your data has carriage controls, it makes the LRECL larger than it should be. Also, provide the name of the point of contact for the file transmission.

Every year PARIS submits a short high level blurb on its payment integrity efforts as part the HHS Agency Fiscal Report. In recent years we have used a few diligent states in participation. We are now asking for state data samples for Fiscal Year 2023 PARIS reporting from states. What we are looking for is;

  1. Summarized information on cost savings/avoidance from PARIS over the last year.
    1. This time period can be flexible as long the data range provided is shared in your response.

  1. Some supporting documentation for values given (i.e. a simple cost breakdown chart, etc.)
    1. Some States generally use the numbers from their annual reports.
    2. It does not have to be elaborate.  Values may have already been provided as you have worked through your monthly reports or annual reporting.

Please ensure your individual response is sent to the PARIS mailbox. Include your state in the subject line before submitting. Below is a sample of our submitted blurb from last year, so that you have an idea of the level of detail we require.

Submit by: August 24th COB to PARIS@ACF.HHS.GOV If you need assistance or have questions for this request please use the PARIS mailbox.  We are happy to assist!.
