USDOL/ILAB Publishes New Funding Opportunity Announcement

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs (USDOL/ILAB) has published a new Funding Opportunity Announcement to solicit cooperative agreement applications for a technical assistance project in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. Subject to the availability of funds, USDOL/ILAB intends to award the cooperative agreement(s) through a competitive and merit-based process. 

The project’s objective is to increase collective action to address child labor, forced labor, and other unacceptable conditions of work in all three countries. The project will utilize an area-based and holistic approach to address violations of labor rights most prevalent in the target areas, including child labor, forced labor, and unacceptable conditions of work. The project will include (1) a focus on people of African descent, Garifuna, and indigenous communities, and (2) actions to promote gender and racial equity.

The closing date for receipt of applications under this announcement is September 27, 2021. Applications must be received no later than 4:00:00 p.m. Eastern Time on the closing date. No applications submitted in hardcopy by mail or hand delivery (including overnight delivery) will be accepted for this funding opportunity.
