Head Start University Partnerships for Curriculum Development

2005-2008

In September 2005, the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation (OPRE) selected six universities to develop curriculum for Head Start and Early Head Start. The grantees received three years of support to develop curriculum addressing parent-child relationships, children’s social emotional and cognitive development, and a parental depression intervention. The selected grantees were: Michigan State University, Orelena Hawks Puckett Institute, University of Colorado, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill Child Development Institute, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill School of Nursing, OMNI Institute, and Utah State University.
