Head Start University Partnerships-English Language Learners

2007-2010

This grant program funds research projects planned in close collaboration with Head Start or Early Head Start programs. Grantees receive $150,000 in funding for the first year and $250,000 dollars in funding for each of two additional years. Projects will address interventions, assessments, and expansion of the knowledge base regarding culture and school readiness of English Language Learners. Temple University, New York University, Arizona State University, San Diego Research Foundation, Harvard University, University of South Florida, and University of North Carolina-Greensboro competed successfully for these awards.
