Introduction

The family services staff measure short form (English version) is for Head Start/Early Head Start family services staff (FSS), referred to as Family Service Workers (FSWs) in the measure. This English version of the short form asks respondents questions about how they work with all parents of children in Head Start/Early Head Start programs.  It includes 39 items (including 11 demographic items) and takes about 7 minutes to complete, on average.

The family services staff measure short form (Spanish version) is for Head Start/Early Head Start family services staff (FSS), referred to as Family Service Workers (FSWs) in the measure. This Spanish version of the short form asks respondents questions about how they work with all parents of children in Head Start/Early Head Start programs.  It includes 39 items (including 11 demographic items) and takes about 7 minutes to complete, on average.

The Excel scoring sheet for the family services staff (FSS) measure short form can be used to automatically calculate overall, construct, and subscale scores. It is available in English and Spanish. The English and Spanish versions of the Excel scoring sheet are exactly the same, with the exception of the language of the question stem. Both English and Spanish versions of the FSS measure short form can be entered into the same Excel scoring sheet for the FSS measure short form.
