TO:             LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LIHEAP) GRANTEES

SUBJECT:  LIHEAP Peer-to-Peer Mentorship Network

Dear Colleagues:

The Office of Community Services (OCS) is pleased to announce the launch of the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) Peer-to-Peer Mentorship Network.  The purpose of the Peer-to-Peer Mentorship Network is to help connect grantees with one another and build informal relationships through which grantees can seek guidance in implementing and administering LIHEAP.

The Peer-to-Peer Mentorship Network will be facilitated by Briljent, under contract to OCS.  We encourage all grantees to sign up as mentors or mentees (or both).  You can select to be a mentor or mentee in a particular subject area, or request to be matched with another grantee to build a collaborative relationship and gain general support.  This network is designed to be a purely informal exchange of ideas and advice among grantees.  Mentors do not speak for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on LIHEAP policy issues; rather, they share their own experiences and offer their opinions and advice. Grantees will be matched based on their requested area(s) of assistance and stated area(s) of expertise.

Attached are the mentor (DOCX) and mentee (DOCX) sign-up forms.  If you are interested in participating in the Peer-to-Peer Mentorship Network, complete the form(s) and return the request to Briljent at: LIHEAP.Mentoring@briljent.com.

The Peer-to-Peer Mentorship Network will allow all LIHEAP grantees to share their successes and best practices with one another.   We encourage all grantees to take advantage of this opportunity to learn from one another by participating in the Peer-to-Peer Mentorship Network.

Sincerely,

/s/________________________                      /s/ ________________________
