Please join the Office of Community Services (OCS) in welcoming two new Operations Branch Program Analysts within the Division of Energy Assistance. They are: Ms. Jamia Furbush and Ms. Katherine Haydon.
Jamia Furbush
Jamia Furbush, LGSW, is a licensed social worker with over five years of child welfare experience with the Maryland Department of Human Resources’ local jurisdiction, the Prince George’s County Department of Social Services. Her experience includes Title IV-E, Foster Care, Guardianship, Adoption processes as well as Post-Adoption Assistance, which involved extensive monitoring and policy compliance reviews. Ms. Furbush is a graduate of Morgan State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in social work (focusing on child welfare), and Howard University where she earned her Master of Social Work degree (focusing on displaced populations).

Katherine Haydon
Katherine Haydon formerly served as Director of Community Services at Bluegrass Community Action Partnership in Frankfort, Kentucky where she administered the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, the Weatherization Assistance Program, the Community Services Block Grant and implementation of the Affordable Care Act in nine counties. She also served as Director of Outreach and Special Projects at Community Action Kentucky from December 2009 to September 2013, where she conducted monitoring, training and technical assistance. Ms. Haydon holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Kentucky and is a Nationally Certified Results Oriented Management and Accountability (ROMA) trainer.
