The Save-the-Date Announcement for these sessions, which was previously shared, can be found here on our website.
The purpose of these information and feedback sessions is to provide critical information about LIHWAP requirements and to gain a better understanding of LIHWAP grantees’ anticipated technical assistance needs. We strongly encourage all directly funded LIHEAP state, territory, and tribal grantees to participate, as LIHWAP grantees will include states, territories, and tribes that received fiscal year (FY) 2021 Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) awards.
The first session, on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. (ET), is intended for all state, territory, and tribal LIHWAP grantees, federal partners, and other critical stakeholders. The webinar will include a presentation, opportunities to submit questions during the session, and a survey afterward to all participating organizations to help solicit additional feedback on the program.
The agenda for the first session will include: a discussion of the purpose of the session, a review of the LIHWAP legislation, a discussion of OCS’s adaptation of current LIHEAP processes and procedures, a review of the areas for input and feedback (including an overview of the feedback survey that will be released in tandem with the information and feedback sessions), and an overview highlight of critical next steps. There will also be time at the end for a moderated question and answer session.
The second session, on Thursday, April 22, 2021, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. (ET), is intended for tribal LIHEAP grantees only. The agenda for the second session will include critical elements of the first session as well as a question and answer session. We are hoping to better understand the most critical water access issues for tribal low-income households in order to better design our program to serve tribal needs. The webinar will serve as an opportunity for OCS to learn about program implementation matters that are unique to tribes and tribal organizations.
Thank you for your attention to these matters. OCS looks forward to continuing to provide high-quality services to OCS grantees.
