Child Care Data Tracker

The Child Care Data Tracker (Tracker), available to tribes and territories, is a comprehensive case management tool designed to support the collection, management, and utilization of the case-level information needed for the generation of the required ACF-700 and ACF-801 reports.

The Tracker software was developed to require minimal hardware and software support. The following minimum requirements are needed to use the Tracker.

Processor

 

450-megahertz (MHz) Pentium II-class processor required 600-MHz Pentium III-class processor recommended
Operating System

 

The Child Care Data Tracker can be installed onto any of the following systems:

  • Windows 2000
  • Windows Server 2003
  • Microsoft Windows NT® 4.0
  • Windows Millennium Edition (Windows Me)
  • Windows XP Professional
  • Windows VISTA
  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8
  • Windows 8.1
  • Windows 10
Microsoft Access

 

Microsoft Access software is required.  For the Tracker to operate properly on your computer, the 32 bit version of Access must be installed.   The software can run on the following versions of Microsoft Access:

  • Microsoft Access 2000
  • Microsoft Access 2002
  • Microsoft Access 2003
  • Microsoft Access 2007
  • Microsoft Access 2010
  • Microsoft Access 2013
  • Microsoft Access 2016
Monitor

 

It is recommended that your monitor/screen resolution be set to 1024 X 780 pixels. The minimum resolution must be at least 800 X 600 pixels.

 

Hard Disk 100 MB of available space is required on system hard drive
Drive

 

CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, CD-RW, or external drive. We recommend having one of these so you will be able to regularly back up the Tracker database.

 

Mouse

 

Mouse or compatible pointing device

 

Printer

 

In order to take full advantage of the Tracker’s capability to print reports, the PC should be connected to a printer capable of printing in color, if available. Although the charts displayed on the Profile Reports will print in black and white, they are greatly enhanced in color.

 


The Tracker software is accompanied by a Tutorial which provides an overview to help grantees become familiar with the Tracker, its content, and the way it functions. An automatic installation process allows users to put the Tracker and the Tutorial on a desktop computer for immediate use. A comprehensive User’s Guide also is available for those who receive the Tracker software.
